1st (UK) Armored Division (Herford)           17,798
 1st (UK) Armored Division has its headquarters at Herford, commands three Armoured Brigades situated throughout North West Germany and is the major component of British Forces Germany.
 With it's three Armored Regiments and six infantry batallions, 1 (UK) Armored Division can provide the Headquarters (HQ) for nine Battle Groups. Personnel in Germany total 18,000 soldiers including supporting units, but the division can be reinforced by units from the UK as necessary. These could include Rapier and MLRS regiments which would be added to the Division Artillery Group (DAG).
